Il Portico

In Castelvittorio, a hilltop village in the Maritime Alps surrounded by centuries-old olive trees, Osteria Il Portico is a true institution of the Ligurian hinterland. For five generations the family has preserved a cuisine rooted in farming traditions, offering genuine dishes and warm hospitality. Today Ylenia, welcoming guests in the dining room, and her mother Serena in the kitchen carry this legacy forward. The menù is a journey through local flavors: salumi, vitello tonnato, lingua with salsa verde, homemade preserves, plus hot specialties like torta di patate, Turtun and frittelle di spinaci. Fresh pasta is the heart of the offer: ravioli di verdura al ragù, ravioli di patate with mushroom cream, tagliatelle al cinghiale and the rare pasta sciancáa, hand-torn and dressed with seasonal vegetables. Secondi highlight mountain cuisine: coniglio alla ligure, capra e fagioli, cinghiale al vino rosso, agnello in umido or lumache with tomato and mint. To close, homemade desserts like tiramisù, panna cotta and crostate. The menù completo costs 35-40 €, with a small but well-curated wine list of local and Piedmontese labels. In summer, dining in the village square adds charm. Reservation recommended.
